CREATIVE OUTLET, INC. UPDATE

 Hi, everyone. This is an update on our recent activities that we intend to podcast with video soon to make it easier to communicate better with everyone near and far. The City Lights Show on Comcast Community television channels continues to air on Friday nights at 9 PM on channel 11. The Portland Community Media studio has been upgraded and we're on the air in HD! And many of these shows are on YouTube. Our International Community Television Archive project continues to make progress. We have an archival library storage space that has been improved with a newly added ventilation system. We have shelving and we are working on an effective cataloguing and dubbing system. The highlights of these programs will be posted on YouTube.
Our documentaries in production are being produced as special segments for our television show on Comcast Community television channels, 11, 22, 23, ustream.tv and YouTube. When complete they will be made into independent films as DVDs.

Creative Outlet, Inc. Board Meeting, 8/9/13.

Agenda Discussed:

1. Creative Outlet, Inc. will hire teacher to teach Motion for Final Cut Pro.
2. Creative Outlet, Inc will hire teacher to teach iPhone app creation. This course will demonstrate how to  create apps for the latest version of iOS, including the iPhone, iPad, iTouch devices. We will be using industry standard tools to design and build customizable graphical user interfaces. Issues regarding user interaction and current design methodologies for mobile devices will be discussed. Class dates and schedule to be arranged.
3.  Creative Outlet, Inc. will hire teacher to teach latest version of Adobe Suite for Design And Production, including: Basic Adobe Illustrator, Basic Adobe Photoshop, Basic Adobe Premier. Class dates and schedule to be arranged.
4.  Creative Outlet, Inc. will hire teacher to teach Introduction To Web Design including coding standards for various browsers. Creating pages to work equally well on large desktop monitors or restricted smart phone displays. Review of Wordpress, HTML and CSS. Class dates and schedule to be arranged.
5.  Creative Outlet, Inc. will hire teacher to teach Introduction To Rhino, 3D prototyping skills using Rhinoceros. Discussion of modeling and editing 3D surfaces for product and prototype design.
6. Class dates and schedule to be arranged.
7.  Creative Outlet, Inc. has purchased Final Draft for iPad: for script writing and editing.
8.  Creative Outlet, Inc. has just purchased from Flying Focus Video Collective, for archive project: D9 Deck and Edit Controller. Deck must be sent to Pro Video for servicing. Cost unknown.
9.  Creative Outlet, Inc. has hired Jefferson Kincaid and Lisa Stiller have been hired this year to host City Lights Show.
10. Creative Outlet, Inc. has hired Bill Olsen as engineer for City Lights Show. 

Final Cut Pro X User Club and Garage Band User Club meetings combined into one meeting on TUESDAY 9/27/13 to do a project for City Lights Show. We will do short segment on a do-it-yourself rainwater catchment system!

Since 1972 the mission of The Creative Outlet, Inc., of Portland, Oregon has been "To develop, promote, support and empower individual artists, arts and arts-related organizations in accomplishing their missions."

Traditionally, the primary focus of the organization has been community television production. But recently we have expanded our focus to empower independent authors and publishers, artists, musicians, and distributors of books, magazines and films. • The Color Bar Lounge, a music program featured as a segment on The City Lights Show Portland.

• The International Community Television Archive, which seeks to promote the preservation of and access to our proud community television legacy.

• Education and Outreach: The Creative Outlet, Inc., has successfully sponsored an ongoing Final Cut Pro User's Club Lab, which offers video production workshops. And we have just now added two programs : Garage Band Lab and U-Stream Lab. Coming Soon: Final Club Pro Motion Lab!
